How to teach kids to code?

I’d like for my 12 year old daughter to learn to code. I think it would be a valuable skill for her later in life, no matter what career path she ultimately chooses. I’ve thought about Codecademy, which I like but I think something a little more fun to help her enjoy it. Any thoughts?
